This doctoral level course is to develop holistic understanding of the concept of innovation as applied and researched in the field of strategy. The research trends discussed in this course facilitate exploration of process, types, leadership, and capabilities in innovation and their implications for innovation management. The emphasis is on the development and application of concepts that highlight interactions between competition, technological and market change, and the structure and development of internal capabilities. This course will be of particular interest to those interested in researching a business for which innovation is critical for achieving competitive advantage.

Entrepreneurship as a field has evolved significantly in the last two decades to achieve the status of a distinctive scholarly domain. The changes that the field has witnessed in the last few years are also a reflection of the advancements in technology at various levels. In this revised doctoral course we will cover the conceptual roots of the discipline, various theoretical perspectives of the phenomenon and track the evolution of entrepreneurship in various contexts.
